What Can We Do?

Some people view the Hebrew Roots / Messianic / Sabbath Keeping movement as a nice option for people to express their faith if they so choose. However in Rev. 18:4 there is a command to come out of (Babylon) so that we do not...

Salvation is of the Jews

In John chapter 4 Yahshua tells the woman at the well that salvation is of the Jews. At first blush that sounds rather condescending but let’s try to understand why He said that and what He meant...

Yah's Fellowship Restored

Now we tell you what we have seen and heard because we want you to have fellowship with us. The fellowship we share together is with YHVH the Father and his Son, Yeshua Messiah. We write this to you so that we may be full of joy.

Here is the message we have heard from YHVH and now tell to you: YHVH is light [reality, accuracy, truth], and in him there is no darkness [fakery, deceit, lies] at all. So if we say that we have fellowship with YHVH, but we continue living in darkness, then we are liars. We do not follow the truth. YHVH is in the light. We should live in the light, too.

If we live in the light, we share fellowship with each other. And when we live in the light, the blood of the death of Yahshua, Yah's Son, is making us clean from every sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins.

We can trust Yah. He does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrongs we have done.

If we obey what YHVH has told us to do, then we are sure that we truly know YHVH.  If someone says, “I know YHVH!” but does not obey YHVH’s commands, then he is a liar. The truth is not in him. But if someone obeys YHVH’s teaching, then YHVH’s love has truly arrived at its goal in him.

This is how we know that we are following YHVH: Whoever says that YHVH lives in him must live as Yahshua lived.

Yeshua-Living Torah

The Living Torah

The law [Torah, instruction] was given through Moses, but grace [divine power to live a holy life] and truth [accurate representation of the Torah in word and deed] came through Yeshua Messiah. You are saved by the Spirit that makes you holy and by your faith in the truth [grace and truth working together].

[Yahshua says:] "Don't think that I have come to destroy the law of Moses or the teaching of the prophets. ..." For the goal at which the Torah aims is the Messiah, who offers righteousness to everyone who trusts.

Let us, then, feel free to come before God's [YHVH's] throne. Here there is grace. And we can receive mercy [undeserved loving kindness] and grace [divine power to live holy] to help us when we need it.

Scriptures are from the ICB, unless otherwise noted, with additions in brackets and titles replaced with Names: John 1:7; 2 Thessalonians 2:13c; Matthew 5:17a; Romans 10:4 CJB; Hebrews 4:16.

LEGEND OR REALITY?

Read the account of His life, death, burial, and resurrection. You will find He is who He claimed to be.  He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life: YHVH's Word in human form.

John, an eye-witness, states: "The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his glory—the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth." and "We write you now about something that has always existed. We have heard. We have seen with our own eyes. We have watched, and we have touched with our hands. We write to you about the Word that gives life. He who gives life was shown to us. We saw him, and we can give proof about it." -- John 1:14, 1 John 1:1-2a from the ICB

B4 Abraham I AM-What

Liar, Lunatic, or LORD?

C. S. Lewis stated in 1942 and published 1952 in his book, Mere Christianity: "I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

[This was also proposed by Watchman Nee in Normal Christian Life (1936) and Scottish preacher, "Rabbi" John Duncan (1796-1870).]
